Reports having paid a visit of inspection to the Gaols and found them much better than he anticipated. Separate Cells would not be suited to the Climate.
Enclosed the Surveyor General's report on the Gaols and an estimate £208.11.7 for some alterations, which he recommends adopting.

Reports that two Soldiers have been sentenced by Court Martial to Transportation for seven years. They have been handed over to the Civil power, and requires instructions as to the way of disposing of them.

Enclosed Plan and Estimate, £14,403.2.6 from the Surveyor General for the construction of a Government House. To be considered this plan preferable to the one prepared by the Ordnance Department and sanctioned by Despatch 46171
